Experience in the Field of Research:
    1. Research/Training Experience:
      • Worked in St. Xavier's college, Mumbai studying "the effects of ultra violet radiations on E. Coli mutations" for one year (1973-74).
        Attended UGC Sponsored summer institute on "molecular genetics" in Madurai University, Madurai in May 1974 organized by Dr. Kunthala and J. Jayaraman.
      • Worked in Grant Medical College, Mumbai as a research fellow for five years in "Human Genetics Lab". Projects undertaken included karyotyping techniques, pedigree analysis and dermatoglyphics, detection of genetic abnormalities in amniotic fluid and radio immune assays of estrogens and progesterone in sex abnormalities.
        Also worked in hematology and isotope units at Grant Medical College. Undertook training in radio immune assays and tc-99 extraction at radiopharmaceutical section, B A R C for the period of one month in November 1975.
      • Attended training in animal tissue culture and hybridoma technique in cancer research institute under Dr. A. N. Bhisey, Director of CRI, Mumbai for one month in June 1995.
      • Worked for M. Phil. And Ph.D. Thesis in fish biochemistry and hematology at B N Bandhodkar College Thane under the guidance of Dr (Mrs.) K S Gokhale from 1987 to 1996.
      • After recognition as a research guide by Mumbai University (from 1997) working and guiding on following projects-
        1. "Breeding ecology and behavioral study of two species of larks".
        2. "Molecular biology of mitochondrial DNA".
        3. "Animal cell cultures: embryo cultures and cancer Cell lines.

        • Evaluation of in vitro cytotoxic activity of the natural products, the crude extracts of Poecilocerus pictus and its food plant Calotropis gigantea, and their characterization.
      • Workshop sanctioned by Lady Tata Memorial Trust in 2009
        • She has coordinated the Workshop entitled "Cell Culture and its Application" under the Teachers' Training Program announced and sponsored by Lady Tata Memorial Trust, in the year 2009.
