The intercollegiate festival Dimensions 2007 was held on 19th and 20th of December 2007. It was marked with an array of events, workshops and exhibitions. On 19th December Dimensions was inaugurated with a unique theme- Fellowship Morning. The aim of this inaugural function was to create a sense of social responsibility among the students. We wanted to create awareness among our students about people belonging to remote regions of our country. At the same time our aim was to encourage assimilation of students from such regions, studying in Mumbai, with the Indian mainstream. With this purpose we invited students belonging to North-eastern States of India doing community health workers course in Mumbai. This course is organized by the Puravaseema Vikas Pratisthan. The Chief Guest of this occasion was Shri Kumar Ketkar- Chief Editor, Loksatta. The function was presided over by Shri Bhausaheb Kelkar, Chairman of the Kelkar Education Trust. The Students' Core Group of Dimensions Committee carried off the function with great aplomb. Dressed in traditional outfits of different states of India they welcomed the guest students from North-East India with aarti, tilak, flowers and pedas. During the function each of the north-eastern students were presented as momentum – a manual on healthcare. This effort of our college was highly appreciated by the chief guest, all dignitaries and guests present. Later the north east students mingled with our students who showed them around the college.

New events, spectacular workshops and exhibitions by various activity groups of our college presented some significant highlights of Dimensions 2007. Bulb-designing and Treasure Hunt organized by the Students' Council; Potter-Mania- a quiz based on Harry Potter organized by ELA; gift wrapping competition by Fine Arts Circle; Say one, Say two, Say cheers!!! (Cheerleader competition), Dimensions Moments (photography competition) organized by the Dimensions Committee were new events this year. They brought a new creative & trendy zing to Dimensions.

The Cultural Committee of our college presented seven competitive events – Classical Vocals, Classical dance, Ghazal singing, Instrumentals, folk dance, Hindi light vocals and Marathi Sugam Sangeet. Celebrity judge like Shailesh Bhagwat added special colour to these rainbow of events. His presence was a great inspiration to the participants and the beaming audience.

The workshops and exhibitions organized by the Fine Arts Circle and Vaze Nature Club respectively were a grand success. The Vaze Nature Club under the title "Let us Survive" held photographic exhibition and slide show on global warming and endangered species. They put up some unique satellite images of earth. However their crowning glory was the skeletal model of Dinosaur prepared by the SYBSC students.

The Fine Arts Circle conducted workshops on Pottery making, Warli painting, Flower making and Rangoli. The two day Rangoli workshop was organized by Sanskar Bharati. It was based on basics of Maharashtrian style art of Rangoli making. The Fine Arts Circle invited a traditional pottery maker for a one day workshop in pottery making. Dressed in traditional kutchi outfit using the potter's wheel he created potteries of various artistic shapes generating great excitement among the participants and onlookers. Both students and staff of our college participated in this workshop. Such was the demand that we had to invite him for the next day as well. All the participants went back home with their proud little creations. On 20th December Dimensions 2007 concluded with some very special celebrity presence. Bollywood actor Priti Jhangiani, popular RJ of Radio Mirchi Jituraj, talented music director duo- Ajay-Atul, Singer Mangesh Borgaonkar, Ramesh Gamre the choreographer and to top it all the finalists of Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Sayali Panse, Vaishali and Aniruddh Joshi enthralled the audience with their presence and performance.
